I have been working as a certified personal trainer since 2001 specializing in functional fitness, core strength training, accelerated sports training, reconditioning, and rehabilitation practices. I work closely with clients assessing their fitness goals and planning tangible programs to help them achieve those goals. My training philosophy has been to always emphasize quality over quantity and to constantly keep the body guessing.
Some of my cliental have included high school soccer players and professional volleyballers. I have also had the pleasure of working with special needs children and adults with multiple sclerosis.
I grew up in San Diego and started competing in sports early on. My first love
was tennis and then golf. I have competed with my varsity track team as a pole vaulter. After graduation I joined the Army as an infantryman and quickly learned the amazing capabilities of the human body to adapt and overcome stressful environments. I apply all that I learned from those experiences to my personal training.
I attended Santa Monica College with courses in Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology.
I am certified as a personal trainer by NASM and ACE. I am also certified in
TRX, Pre/Post Natal, Kettle Bell, VIPR, and APEX Nutrition.
My hobbies include surfing, climbing, triathlon, mountain biking, reading, and eating.
